John Byrne and Paul Brewer organized the show to be a forum for discussion and to introduce their collaborations with Munro Acoustics to the Irish audience.

The Recording Show was attended by representatives of Audient, Apogee, Avid/Digidesign, Brauner, Exigy Monitors, George Massenburg Labs, Manley, sE Electronics and SSL as well as guest speakers/performers.

Those included Dirk Brauner of Brauner mics, Rupert Cobb who recorded and mixed the Live at Abbey Road series and Chris Walls from Munro.

Also in attendance were Wolsey White of Staines who produces Hard-Fi, Alastair McMillan (ex Windmill Lane Studio and now U2’s monitor man) and Noel Hogan from The Cranberries who is now also a studio owner.

The day was a great success with around 75 attendees from all over Ireland.

Says Paul Brewer “ We’re very pleased with the attendance of Pros, Semi-Pros and Amateurs, all of whom are our customers.

The whole day went without a hitch, apart from Wolsey White landing in Shannon whilst his lift touched down in Dublin…”

A quick phone call from studio owner Peter organized a Helicopter to collect the startled Mr.White that added somewhat to the excitement.

John Byrne says ‘Having the location somewhat off the beaten track meant that anyone who attended had a real desire to be here – which added to the show’s value to us and our clients. We look forward to 2010’s event as an opportunity to allow our customers to meet each other, share ideas and meet the guys who make their gear in informal surrounding”
